A mantra is a sound-form kept in a tradition: syllables with grammar, use, and often a deity or quality they are understood to invoke. In popular English it has come to mean any slogan you repeat. CapSage will not police the English. We will mark the difference.
Tradition is not a vibe
Om Namah Shivaya is not 'a wellness sound'. It is a Shaiva five-syllable homage. Om Mani Padme Hum is a Tibetan Buddhist recitation tied to Avalokiteśvara. The Gayatri is a Vedic prayer to illumination. To use them as generic calm-down tracks is like using a hymn as gym music. You can. You should know what you are doing.
A mantra is not a mood. It is a sentence with a history.
This library will give context, not initiation. If a mantra belongs to a community that asks for transmission, we will say so. Borrowing without courtesy is not Chantism. It is shopping.
