When a Transit Matters — and When It Probably Doesn’t

A headline transit is a wonderful way to outsource a week. Saturn is on your Moon. Therefore the marriage. Therefore the job. Therefore the mood. Isolation is the method of panic. It is a poor method of reading. One moving planet is not a biography. It is a cloud. Clouds matter when they sit over a house that was already built to get wet.

What still has to speak: the natal promise — whether that Moon, that house, that lord was ever built to carry this weather. A transit over a planet that was quiet at birth is not the same story as a transit over a planet that already runs the kitchen. The dasha — which part of the life is actually outdoors. A slow planet on a natal planet that is also in dasha will speak. A fast planet on a quiet house in a quiet dasha is often just a sky.

Duration, lordship, company

House lordship still gets a vote. A transit over an empty box whose lord is busy elsewhere is not the same weather as a transit over a packed kendra. Duration is the most ignored filter in popular copy. A two-day Moon is not a two-and-a-half-year Saturn. Simultaneous triggers — other grahas stacking, an eclipse, a dasha change, a station — change the volume. One cloud is not a climate. Schools disagree about how loudly transits should speak. CapSage will not appoint a referee. We will say: if the transit is loud and the dasha is quiet, do not panic the glyph. If both are loud, still live the week as a person with a body and a plan.

The no-panic solution and the dasha-or-transit essay are the two doors. Timing is two clocks. Pretending one of them is a verdict is how people miss the actual rain. Look at the natal map, the season, the duration, and the rest of the sky before you give a headline the keys to the house.
