The slogan
In popular Western copy, retrograde means glitch. In some beginner Jyotish copy, vakra means debilitated-adjacent. Classical notes are more interesting: a planet appearing to move backward is often read as stronger, more interior, more insistent — a graha that will not take the direct road.
The more nuanced weather
Mercury vakra can be a mind that revises. Saturn vakra can be a duty that will not drop. None of this is a civic emergency. None of it is automatic genius either. Practitioners disagree, which is honest. Marketing does not disagree, which is how you got this myth.
A planet that turns around is still a planet. It has not resigned.
