Why Different Numerology Systems Produce Different Numbers

Because they are different machines. Disagreement is not a glitch. It is the point you should have been told first.

If you calculate your 'number' in two apps and get two answers, you have not been failed by the cosmos. You have met two systems. Pythagorean practice maps letters A=1 through I=9, then repeats. Chaldean practice uses a different map, skips 9 in the alphabet assignment, and cares about compound totals. Some reduce on the fly; some wait. Some treat 11 as master; some do not.

Asking which is 'true' is like asking whether a sonnet or a raga is the correct music. They are doing different jobs with different rules. A responsible reader names the school before quoting the digit.

A number without a method is a costume.

This house keeps Pythagorean and Chaldean in one Pattern room so you can compare them without pretending they are a single science. If a practitioner will not tell you their map, you may assume the number is decorative.

What Is Chaldean Numerology?

An older letter-to-number map, a love of compound numbers, and a lot of later Victorian packaging.
