Before it is a total, a personal name is how you are called across a room. That call can be tender or careless. Numerology arrives late, offering to decode what your people already encoded without a table.

Traditional interpretations say the name number is the clothes the soul wears in public. A pretty metaphor. Also: clothes are chosen by parents, clerks, and sometimes by you at twenty-four in a different country.
