Chaldean practice often contrasts the birth number (from the day) with the name number (from the letters). Traditional interpretations say the birth number is what you arrived with and the name is how you meet the market of other people. It is a clean story. Lives are less clean.
A name can be a gift, a burden, a brand, a translation, a spelling the school never learned. Changing it is a human right and sometimes a healing. It is not a software patch for destiny.
You can rename a shop. You cannot rename a childhood.
Calculate both if you like. If they 'clash', you have vocabulary for a tension you probably already feel: private pace versus public face. That is useful. A clash is not a defect report.
