Ketu Is Not Automatically Enlightenment

Lazy spiritual copy baptises Ketu on sight. South node, therefore saint. Detachment, therefore depth. The glyph does not issue certificates. Spirituality is one possible expression of this weather. It is not a compulsory outcome.

Within Jyotish, Ketu is release, prior familiarity, the skip, the strange expertise, the unhooking. Traditional notes mention moksha and the twelfth. They also mention loss, peculiarity, a mind that will not stay in the marketplace, and a body that sometimes forgets it has an appointment. Detachment can be peace. Disinterest can be a freeze. Fragmentation can be a talent for leaving the room without leaving the chair. Inwardness can be practice. Loss of appetite — for status, for people, for the next helping — can be wisdom or depression wearing a mala. CapSage will not sort those for you from a paragraph.

What the halo hides

A loud Ketu can describe a person who is done with a game. Done can be the beginning of a path. Done can be dissociation with incense. Prior familiarity — the sense of already knowing a craft, a language, a grief — is one of Ketu’s more interesting signatures, and it does not require a past-life lecture to be useful. Spiritual potential is real in the literature. Potential is not arrival. The twelfth can be a cell, a hospital, a foreign bed, or a practice. Ketu sitting there does not tell you which.

Unhooking is a faculty. Absence is not a lineage. Enlightenment is a rumour until a life can still do the washing.

If the unhooking is peace, keep it. If it is a life you cannot inhabit, come downstairs. The Body room still has walking and rest; those are not lesser.
