Does Counting Matter?

Counting keeps you from the fantasy that you sat for an hour when you sat for four minutes. It also becomes a sport. Traditional rounds exist because humans like a finish line. Finish lines are psychologically real. They are not cosmic invoices.

If counting makes you anxious, drop it for a week and use time. If not counting makes you vague, pick the beads up. Honesty is the metric.

A counted lie is still a lie. An uncounted return still counts.
