When attention has nowhere to land, or the breath is thin.
Breath
- Sit or lie so the body does not have to hold itself up.
- Breathe in for four. Rest for four. Out for four. Rest for four.
- If counting fights you, drop the numbers and stay with one long edge of air.
- Stop when you like. A few rounds is a practice. A hundred is not required.
A counted breath is not a medical protocol. If breathing is hard, dizzy, or frightening, stop and get ordinary air. Seek care if you need it.
