The Chart Does Not Know Your Entire Story
Patterns and tendencies, not a biography. Culture, luck, courage, and the conversations in the house still have to be lived.

The chart is information. It is not your biography. That sentence is the whole of this house, and it has to be repeated because the craft is constantly tempted to become a novel. Jyotish can describe patterns and tendencies: a climate of delay, a gift for speech, a hunger, a tide. It does not contain every cultural context you were born into, every opportunity that did or did not knock, every relationship that arrived as a person rather than a glyph, every decision, every social constraint, every act of courage that had no yoga attached.
A lagna is a door, not a life. A dasha is a season, not a script. A yoga is a clause. People write the rest — badly, bravely, with help, without it. CapSage will keep reading the sky. We will not pretend the sky has read you. The chart does not know the joke that saved a friendship, the bus that did not come, the teacher who stayed five minutes, the no you finally said. Those are not “missing significators.” They are the world.
Biography has other authors
Culture, class, law, language, the century, the body you actually have — these write more of a biography than a dignity table. Luck is in the list, and it is not always a yoga. Courage is in the list, and it often has no combination attached. Astrology that forgets that becomes a novel with better lighting. The map is on the wall. You still have to walk. If you needed permission to keep a self that is larger than a drawing, you have it.
A horoscope may describe the weather. It does not write every conversation that happens inside the house.
The chart-is-not-a-diagnosis essay is the clinical version of this limit. The dependence solution is the practical one. Start here if you want a door rather than a verdict. Then go live in the rooms. The sky is still worth reading. It is not a substitute for the life that has to be lived underneath it.
